da pixbet: In a new book called Pep’s City: The Making of a Superteam, Txiki Begiristain has revealed Sergio Aguero has well and truly bought into Pep Guardiola’s way of working.
What did he say?
The Argentina international endured a difficult start to life under Guardiola, with the latter publicly demanding more from his superstar centre-forward.

He said (as transcribed by The Sun): “Kun is spectacular. I think he’s got over his worries. A lot of forwards have the same worries when they start working with Pep. They know they will have to work harder and he will make them suffer.
“Stats — look at his stats! The boy is a forward and he does what he’s supposed to do — score goals. Never mind all the nit-picking, all the ********. Goals are what I’m talking about. He gets us goals and I don’t see anyone better.
Transformation
Make no mistake about it, after looking like he would never be a Guardiola-type striker, Aguero has emphatically silenced the doubters. The Argentine’s work off the ball has seen a remarkable change, and he often leads from the front when it comes to pressing and winning the ball back.

Add to that his natural goal-scoring instinct, and there’s a significant argument to be made that the former Atletico Madrid striker has only now hit his prime. The competition with Gabriel Jesus will surely have added to the pressure of performing on a week-to-week basis, and the 5 foot 8 man has risen to the task.
He may have suffered at the beginning, but there’s no doubt he’s reaping the rewards now.
