USMNT legend Alex Morgan stepped onto the tennis court at the Stars of the U.S. Open exhibition event in New York City, trading her familiar soccer attire for tennis gear in an unexpected crossover.
The two-time World Cup champion, who retired in 2024, joined forces with Coco Gauff in a celebrity doubles match originally featuring Gauff and Andre Agassi against Venus Williams and John McEnroe. Morgan temporarily replaced Agassi during the lighthearted exhibition and executed several tennis strokes during her brief appearance, helped secure a point.

Morgan retired from football in September 2024 after making over 180 career appearances across various teams including Olympique Lyon, winning a catalogue of trophies.
She earned 224 caps for the USWNT, scoring 123 goals which puts her in the top five of all-time USWNT scorers and in the top ten for appearances as well.
