da marjack bet: Roy Hodgson has expressed his frustration over a lack of transfers following the 1-0 defeat to Derby in the FA Cup third round.
da bwin: The Eagles spent less than £5m in the summer window despite receiving £50m from the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, and the need for fresh faces has only increased after a quite ludicrous barrage of injury problems has plagued the Palace squad.
Hodgson is currently without 11 senior players after losing Max Meyer and Jairo Riedewald in the defeat to Derby, and his post-match comments highlight his annoyance over the lack of incomings in recent times.
What did he say?
As reported by The Athletic’s Matt Woosnam, the former England manager said: “Since the summer transfer window we are looking to sign at least one, possibly two strikers, and two full-backs. Nothing changes. I said it a year ago, I said it in the summer, I say it again.”
Reaching boiling point
It appears that the transfer situation at Selhurst Park is close to boiling point following Hodgson’s comments.
The experienced manager already issued a cry towards Palace chiefs back in September, when he said that he was “hoping” the Eagles would “put right” the club’s lack of depth in key areas of the pitch.
Furthermore, Hodgson then urged his bosses to take a proactive approach to the January window last month when saying: “A club like ourselves really do need to be on the front foot to take advantage of anything that is going.”

So, now that the 72-year-old appears to have openly expressed his frustration about the situation to the media, it does feel as if the beef between him, Steve Parish and Sporting Director Dougie Freedman is reaching boiling point.
Whether the former England manager gets his wish after the mini-outburst or this becomes a destructive division between gaffer and chairman remains to be seen. But either way, something has to give sooner or later.
