da bet esporte: Speaking on BT Sport, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has delivered a worrying verdict on the long-term futures of both Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba.
What did he say?
da premier bet: The Red Devils have endured a disappointing first-half of the campaign in the Premier League, but have enjoyed a relatively successful month of December, racking up wins against the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City.
But with United playing Europa League football this season, and still facing a battle to qualify for the Champions League next year, Scholes has admitted some of the team’s key players may be looking at pastures new.
He said (as quoted by The Manchester Evening News): “He (Kylian Mbappe) has scored 20 goals in the Champions League already and Marcus is playing in the Europa League. The sooner they can get back into the Champions League the better. They need to do it because when he and people like Paul Pogba are out of the Champions League, they want to play Champions League football because of the quality that they have.
“If they are not going to get it here, then you would have to say they will look elsewhere. Hopefully it will never come to that and I hate even thinking about that.”
Harsh truth
Already this summer United have seen Pogba’s long-term future at Old Trafford being called into question, with the Frenchman declaring that he is keen to try out a new challenge. And whilst Rashford as an academy graduate may have stronger ties to the club itself, he no doubt will also have aspirations for playing for the biggest trophies on offer in the game.

If United can’t make significant progress over this and the coming seasons, then Scholes’ quite worrying verdict could become a harsh reality for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s up to the Red Devils to show that their players can achieve their goals at Old Trafford and don’t have to go elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has raved about this Manchester United starlet after his performance against Burnley.
