da jogodeouro: Reading are chasing Burnley striker Charlie Austin and are willing to spend £4 million on the player they released as a 15-year- old.
da winzada777: The 23-year-old has made a fast start to the season scoring 15 goals in 12 games, which has gained admirers from the Premier League including the likes of Reading, Fulham and West Brom.
The former lower league striker who played for the likes of Thatcham Town, Kintbury Rangers, Hungerford Town and Poole Town signed for Burnley in 2011 after joining from Swindon. Austin has developed into one of the stand-out strikers of the championship and is the top scorer in the whole country.
The former builder has filled the void after former strike partner Jay Rodriguez left for Premier League Southampton.
Despite Austin’s start to the season, Burnley have yet to trouble the top of the table, and Eddie Howe’s men find themselves in 16th place after their recent 4-3 defeat against Crystal Palace, where once again Austin was on target.
While Burnley have plenty of fire power up front, boss Eddie Howe admits he needs to address his defensive frailties which will live up to the front line prowess.
